Global M&A Outlook Series - Americas
M&A Insight for the Americas
In the first half of 2024, global M&A experienced a significant revival, driven by a surge in US takeovers and megamergers. Deal value rose substantially from the previous year, highlighting a tentative recovery from the lows of 2023. The US led the way, contributing more than half of the global deal value and marking its largest market share since 2019. However, despite the rise in large deals in the US, the overall number of transactions declined, reflecting continued caution in the market.
This webinar, organised by the Financial Times in partnership with Datasite, convened dealmakers to explore M&A activity and trends in the Americas region.
